3/5 starsI enjoyed the overall premise of this book - however， the execution fell short in my eyes。 I liked the personalities， I enjoyed the unique challenges of Syndey’s situation…。 But I could NOT deal with all the crying and self sacrificing bullshit。 It truly does not need to be like this， especially from a couple of college kids。I was in pain trying to finish the last 3rd of the book。Also… Ridge？！ How does CoHo come up with these names？！ I enjoy most of her books， but this wasn’t it for me。

Ich habe vor Kurzem damit gestartet die Maybe Someday Reihe zu rereaden。 In diesem Band geht es um Sydney， die an ihrem Geburtstag herausfindet， dass ihr Freund sie mit ihrer Mitbewohnerin betrügt。 Daraufhin weiß sie nicht wohin mit sich und flüchtet kurzerhand zu ihrem Nachbarn Ridge， den sie eigentlich nur von ihrem Balkon aus kennt。 Dort spielt er nämlich jeden Abend ein Lied für sie。 Da bei Ridge noch ein Zimmer frei ist， zieht sie in seine WG。 Erst da findet sie heraus， dass Ridge eigentlic Ich habe vor Kurzem damit gestartet die Maybe Someday Reihe zu rereaden。 In diesem Band geht es um Sydney， die an ihrem Geburtstag herausfindet， dass ihr Freund sie mit ihrer Mitbewohnerin betrügt。 Daraufhin weiß sie nicht wohin mit sich und flüchtet kurzerhand zu ihrem Nachbarn Ridge， den sie eigentlich nur von ihrem Balkon aus kennt。 Dort spielt er nämlich jeden Abend ein Lied für sie。 Da bei Ridge noch ein Zimmer frei ist， zieht sie in seine WG。 Erst da findet sie heraus， dass Ridge eigentlich taub ist。 Sie ist fasziniert von ihm und seiner Musik， aber als sie herausfindet， dass Ridge eine Freundin hat， ist sie sich sicher， dass es ihr Maybe Someday nie geben wird。Wie ihr wisst， liebe ich Colleen Hoovers Bücher sehr！ Der Schreibstil und auch die Charaktere haben immer etwas ganz Besonderes an sich。 Die Geschichte von Ridge und Sidney ist emotional， weil die beiden sich eigentlich verlieben， aber Ridge sich auch eingestehen muss， dass er sich in zwei Frauen gleichzeitig verliebt hat und weiß， dass er eine davon nie verlassen kann。 Ich muss sagen， dass ich nicht alle Handlungen der Protagonisten gut fand。 Sidney beispielsweise war mir manchmal zu uneinfühlsam und auch ihre Entscheidungen waren teilweise fragwürdig， aber kein Mensch ist perfekt und vieles konnte ich den Protagonisten dann auch verzeihen。Ganz besonders hat mir an diesem Buch auch die Thematik zur Musik und der Taubheit gefallen。 Denn Ridge liebt die Musik， kann sie aber selbst nicht hören。 Er versucht dieses Gefühl durch Emotionen und Gefühle in sich aufzunehmen und gerade die Momente， die Ridge und Sidney da miteinander teilen sind ganz besonders。Insgesamt muss ich sagen， dass ich beim zweiten Lesen eine bisschen kritischere Meinung erhalten haben als beim ersten Mal。 Dennoch liebe ich einfach diesen ganz besonderen Vibe der Geschichte und kann sie euch deshalb empfehlen！ 。。。more

Colleen Hoover how you have played with my heart！ I love this book！ I loved the two perspectives in the story from Sydney and Ridge to the songs and the drama！ I liked that during the book you got to get a little bit of what it was like to be a deaf person and you got to learn about deaf culture。 Ohh the emotions I had with this book， I can’t wait to read the next one。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Honestly， if took me so long to read this book because it was so bad that I just dreaded picking it up。 So many of the parts made me cringe， as if I was reading a poorly written fanfiction written in like 2014。 I’d recommend the book to people who like extremely cheesy romance novels。 2 stars instead of 1 because the ending was cute and the song lyrics were okay。

This is completely a YA book。 Typically I enjoy the occasional YA book but not this one。 I found Colleen Hoover completely by accident right before she blew up on TikToc。 I read It Ends With Us & Reminders of Him - both very good。 She wrote this before the other two。 I can see clearly she has grown as an author。 It took me almost 2 months to finish this because it couldn’t keep my interest。 I powered through because I hate to leave a book unfinished。
